Thing I never noticed, till today.

I only recently got RW on dvd. I have the special edition vhs tape, other that that, I grew up only seeing it on cable or on a tape recorded off TV.
I watched alot of scenes in slo-mo, trying to pick out details and coloring for a model. Even, a regular dvd is much clearer than vhs, I still havnt graduated to a HDtv or bluray discs. :(
1. The landau drivers weapon is a flechette gun. I always thought it looked pretty big for only shooting one arrow, but it shoots 6 at once. You can see one go past Wez, and one go in his arm.
2. The buggy at the beggining has a dead kangaroo on the roofrack. I'd seen the body after the crash, but always thougth it was roadkill.
3. In the back of the interceptor, behind Dog's blanket is an old whitewall radial tire.
4. When the interceptor first stops after the crash, a piece of the nosecone is still dangling by a few fibres.
5. the left rear fender flare is already broken at the start of the movie.
6. The wreck in front of the compound is the landau wreckage, for some reason I always thought it was the interceptor wreck from later. Even though I'm pretty sure I read otherwise :? .
7. When they are having the "walk away" argument/discussion, Arkie is holding a puppy in a blanket. I'd always thought she had her arms folded in her shawl.
8. Toadie's coat really is an ugly sportcoat with thin lapels.

Did you ever notice in the opening chase scene that the front end of the interceptor is already broken in the frames just before the camera shot where Max rams the Landau? :P

Yeah, I noticed that when I was still a kid.

I was the one who originaly submitted the flub about no engine being in the buggy after the crash. I later submitted a correction, but I dont' think it got corrected. The engine was in the car, but it gets broken out during the crash. You can see it in slo- mo, even on vhs. Also, you can see part of the block still attached to the transmission.

I recently heard Mel state that there was an extra guy in the frame by mistake during one of the cabin shots of the truck chase.

Can't for the life of me find it... any ideas?

It says it here too:

I see the bad guy that is supposed to be there behind the cab a few times which is understandable but where exactly is this 'extra man' that wasn't supposed to be there'? Screen shot please!

Does anyone read the flubs on Peters website????

In the closeup shot of the cabin of the truck after the door gets ripped off, you see someone to the left of mel IN the cabin with him trying to hide.
Man with beard!..... Was always under the belief it was Byron Kennedy, but someone else told me it was Dennis Williams?

Would certainly have to be a good reason for the director or stunt co-ordinator to be hiding in the cab and not somewhere they have a better overview.

Here's the top of Dennis Williams head. This is as the door gets yanked off with the grappling hook.

It's quite likely that he was operating some kind of release mechanism for the door.
