got my 71 mustang mach 1. pulled the bumper off it today and started adding to it with some milliput, needs some samding/filling yet. also made half of the intake system from a couple of resin copied turbos, the carbs from the 'stang engine and a leftover exhaust i had.

I see you're using one of the Sunstar drag Mustangs, looking good so far!
Where did you get the resin turbos from (1/18 parts are really tough to source)?
Oh, and I have some flared brass eyelets (same as I used for my XA's velocity stacks) that would work perfect for the Landau's intakes. Let me know if you'd like me to send you a few.
Keep us posted, I'm really looking forward to seeing your progress! The Landau will probably be my next movie canon build after I finish up the XA and all my freelance stuff, so I can't wait to see what you do for yours!

the turbos are from a mate of mine who also messes around with models, he does resin copies of parts on his own models and sells them on. they are probably off an old brittish ford or something jap. have a look on modelmotervation com, theres some awesome stuff on there.
i just used some exhaust for the trumpets they do look a bit crap huh? haha, thats a very kind offer of you but wouldnt it cost a bit to send them from there tho? what did you get them from?
bit more sanding of the bumper today:

Haha, no problem!
Your current intakes don't look too bad, but you could easily flare out the ends. If the tubes are plastic, maybe see about heating them up so they're soft and inserting a tapered object (like a pen) to widen them a little.
The eyelets I used are from a local hobby shop. When I bought them, they were just packed in a little plastic bag stapled shut and labeled "eyelets", presumably by the shop owner. They were in a section with various useful little metal bits with no expressed purpose. I honestly have no idea what they'd really be used for, but they make great 1/18th velocity stacks!
I know shipping would probably cost a bit, but if you're interested in them, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it. If we could maybe swap for a set of those turbos, I wouldn't mind at all

Entirely up to you, though.

morrisminor those pics are awesome, if only i had them a little earlier haha but thanks alot anyway
ramfett, managed to flare the ends out alittle, not much but i think its enough, just held it over a lighter and they did it themselves, pressed down on a flat surface to help them alittle then filed the edges off.
also made the black pipe thingys and the pipes from the turbo's. plastic exhaust pipe and those little blue wire connectors that you squeeze together with pliers, just need painting black and silver.
as for those resin turbos i just picked them up from my mate as he had them spare. if you sign up to modelmotorvation they sell loads of resin parts, you could ask if they'd send some across the water

Weelz, let's see the Hot Rod! Your flare-job on the exhausts looks good. Are you gonna fill the hole from the hood scoop a bit? It's pretty big compared to the Landau's.
And Bart, here ya go, cheap and here in the US:
