Has a layout (including a rough sketch) of the refinery compound in Mad Max 2 ever been published?

Taking screenshots from the movie to create a composite image would be a challenging task and probably would not result in a complete map.

best to pause the dvd during the copter fly-over (after the black-on-black crash). It gives a good oversight of the plan.

In one of the making of vids that's been posted on Youtube I swear there's a brief shot of a schematic plan for the compound structure.

Try the pic below, although it is probably not ideal. I thought I remembered seeing an aerial view of it somewhere, but found this when I went looking - not quite the aerial view I remembered. As has been mentioned, when Max is flown back to the compound on the gyrocopter during the film is probably the best way to get a look at the layout. I do believe there are also shots in the Chase Continues doco, although can't remember if they really show any more detail from an aerial view.

If you look REALLY closely, you'll see both BOB's down there...

BUGGER YA'S I can't find the other one, unless i was thinking is the Humungus mobile is actually the Bob.

Tell ya what though, looking at that scale and distance etc. Max's camp really wasn't that far from everyone, i seriously doubt he wouldn't have been seen up there, i mean the glint from his binoculars woulda been seen from the compound and the voices of him and Gyro talking and dog maybe talking shit woulda carried down to the Vermin camp just below the hill.
Anyway...

Oh i see it, parked right next to that tip truck, what the hell's in the back of that truck? dirt? and whats with all the dents in the land near the Camel pen?
