Dang it! Too bad replicas aren't legal in Oz, or I'd buy it :-(

Well If any of you bid on this item I hope the seller is more helpful once you made the sale than he was to me for asking a little info. I asked him if he knew where I could buy the caps for the gun as he has them pictured with the gun. He response was "this doesn't appear to be a question about the item" . Well no I guess it isn't but I thought maybe a little courtesy could be passed as I thought maybe he had those to sell as well. Although I believe eBay rules don't let you sell them on their site ,but if he had his own site off eBay I could buy them there. But no he had to be a disrepectful ass . A simple no sorry I can't help you would have been fine.

The caps are hard to find. You're right, you can't sell them on ebay. That model guns uk place has them for sale, but the shipping here to the U.S. is expensive, and you can also order them from Japan, but that's even worse.
I have a few extra (but I can't spare too many) that I could sell to you cheap if you live here in the states.
Otherwise, good luck.

For $25 more you can get a tax stamp and have a real one! I think the toy guns are cheesy, but that's my opinion.

I think if you walk around with a genuine sawed off shot gun you get fitted with a shiny set of bracelets real quick. Cheesy, maybe illegal in public, no.

Not in the People's Republik of Kalifornia, you can't. I've coveted one for years and finally settled for an airsoft. Maybe someday I can move to a free state and buy that Serbu shorty I've had my eye on. ;)

If you lived in a state where you can own one, and you are at an event where you can wear the costume, AND everything is legal and you have a copy of the paperwork in your pocket just in case, then you should be able to wear the thing in public with no problems. I've carried many a legal automatic weapon out in public at a living history and have yet to be hassled by anyone. Of course I'm not going to change into civilian clothes and walk into a convenience store waving it around, THAT would attract unwanted attention. You'd be surprised what you can get away with in the name of performance art. Do everything legally, pay the tax stamp, check for local ordinances, and I wouldn't be afraid to wear a live sawed-off in the DragonCon parade.

Oh, and the Serbu's are sweet. 8-) They build them right over in Tampa. I always wanted to build the sawed-off, take-down Model 97 pump gun from the movie 'Bullett'. But I got too many projects as it is.

I maybe wrong ,but a sawed off as short as the one in max is illegal to own or possess. So just having it could be a heap ,more trouble than I'm willing to bargain for. I'll stick with my hudson.

How many times have you guys been stopped by cops with the toy guns so they can check it out? Not debating. Just curious.
