Clunes campout

Post by zboy again »

Myself & a few mates are planning an informal campout at the old clunes railway station, nothing fancy just a complete BYO swag, tent van or whatever you feel like, or even book into a B&B if you feel that way.

At this stage it's just a few bikes but all will be welcome to come & talk shit, have a campfire or whatever ya feel like :?:

I'm just working out a date that will be in the next 5 weeks or so, if anyone here wants to come along & a certain weekend suits them let me know asap & I'll try to work around that if it helps.

I'll post the date next week so get in fast if you need a specific date.     :)

It was great to catch up with you Scrote, Dave and Dion (and Paul in hospital. Not a good thing when your front wheel falls off at 100k! Get well soon mate).
My first ride in a "group" in almost 30 years ... loved it!

There's something about Dion's ride. It's the "Gooses Gizzards"!
Hey Dion ... What's that hangin' off your swag? Cundalini still wants it back ya know!?

Hey Dale, was an awesome weekend for all that were there on either one or both days.

Paul was wrapped when ya popped in to visit him :)

His story for others on here was in the morn he was riding down to clunes from up in NSW with Dion when a freak accident saw him come off his bike with it cart wheeling behind him after riding about 80 meters on the disc & hub after his outer wheel rim came away from the spokes.......he wanted to make it to clunes but due to a hole in his leg couldn't make it. He just got out after a week in hossie but with a few more tripds to the doc yet to come.

here is a pic of his bike taken that morning..

then about 4 hours later

he had this in his leg, he reckons it's nothing a year in the tropics wouldn't fix tho'

Image

I thought I'd better leave a mark on the road to commemerate the ocassion........

Then we finally made our destination after checking in on him where the ambos took him to to the ER at a nearby town...

Image

Amazing how far ya can ride on a bent disc & a hub with spokes.....

thats a good bloody wound :o ... but seriously, how is the lad? looks like he missed a good weekend. nice shots of clunes there zed ;)

and Dale, love the new ride. did ya leave ya signature on the road??

Dan
...sorta slow motion. he leaves the seat, goes through the windscreen, headfirst straight into the tree...right. and then, bounces back through the windscreen. by the time we got to him.. he was just sittin there trying to scream with his face ripped off......whats the matter?
