It was called 'Thunder Road' basically a Mad Max 2 styled board game.I have this game and have modded the game cars like some of the Mad Max 2 cars.I'll get some good pics soon of them.Heres a youtube vid of the commercial when it came out back in 86

It's a desert highway battle where you race against opponents and try to eliminate them. You have three vehicles and one aerial assault chopper. Attack your opponents' cars and leave nothing but wrecks behind. If you cant wreck them, outrun them! Be the sole survivor and you're the victor in this desert demolition derby.

Ok,here is the proper game pieces for this game siiiigh...This is a clear & present indication that I have faaar faaar too much time on my hands See if you can guess the cars I redid. I also made some maruader vehicles that were my own creation. enjoy or laugh,you decide lol

Those are great. I can see the attention to detail on all of the cars. Did you make a mold for the pieces, because you have lots more cars.

I just used a razor and some modeling paint,some putty and some glue. I bought a couple of the games and modded the cars by cutting up other cars and whatever scrap i had left i made the maruader car and bikes and buggies. all the parts on the cars I made were from the game pieces only.

ps3 owners may wish to take note. i am going to start modeling the orginal game peices in little big planet....i've been doing it for mad max so i figure why not my favorite game? i am not sure how to construct a level around game peices..but i will try to think of something. and make 2 to 4 player level so that it can be very close to the game as possible. otherwise i still plan to 3d model the cars like on the box for possible use in future games.
