Roadwar Vegas

Dark Skies/Singularity is coming up in mid April, and I'm talking to the organizer and a friend about having some of us show up as a Mad Max tribe. It's basically a mini Burning Man about 1/2 hr southwest of Las Vegas near Roach, NV. A lot less people and a lot less dusty. There's also a hotel casino and outlet mall right outside of the dry lake.
I'm looking into the details of having a tanker run, possibly even going through the Strip itself.

Anarchy, do I know you?
And where have you been? We just had a big Roadwar last August but couldn't manage to get arrested. I guess assless chaps are still legal in Washington.
Suede: there will be about 1000 people camped out at Dark Skies (I think Burning Man is up to about 40,000). But I will keep updating the website as to who is planning on showing.

Wow that would be pretty cool!

Yeah, we tryed to make trouble at Roadwar NW, the Tanker must have been doing 90 MPH. Talk about realisim!
That didnt stop Karol/WEZ from ripping by him on that badass Bike!
Where are the state patrol when you need them, maybe they figured as long as their was a pursuit special on their tail someone was taking care of it?

Anyway VAGAS ROADWAR!!!!! Bring it to the Desert Karol!

Keep me posted.

The latest news:
Looks like the Dark Skies art festival will have to move further into Nevada due to some bureaucratic difficulties. The new location appears to be Delamar lake, which is about 1.5 hrs north of Vegas (and 1 hr east of Area 51). The advantages of this for us: probably fewer regulars will show so we will have more of it to ourselves, and highways around there look better and are less congested than the ones southwest of Vegas.

When are you guys going to have something on the East coast, or at least somewhere in the middle of the country? Oh yeah, all the deserts are out West. Nevada is just too far, especially if I'd be hauling a vehicle. I'd hate to think of getting through an airport with spiked shoulder pads, too. I wish you all a good time! Take lots of pictures. I'll be here, green with envy... :) :) :)

It would be very cool to see you there Humvee. All of us Western state blokes came out to Dearborn for the Ford 100th, and for Carslile, etc.
I did notice somthing sort of unsual. I am not sure I can remember the last time an East Coaster made the treck this way, if at all, for an event or show but it seems like the Westies are Traveling for shows all the time. It is a costal thing? We had guys from California, Ontario, Oregon, and Idaho at Roadwar NW, and probably from further than that. Anyway, Ill look forward to it wahtever happens.

HUMVEE,
As far as having an East Coast Roadwar, it's really not up to me, but up to the fans out there! Someone out there needs to be the next Chris Fenner or MFP1.
And by the way, you can always ship your spiked shoulder pads before you go so you don't have to worry about airport security. That's what I did.
But I understand if it's too far.
