There was Mad Max comic book published in Croatia, in 1985. and 1986. It's just like first Mad Max movie. I have only one page of that comic but I will try to get all and then scan and translate it.
Here is that page (that's the last page of comic):
One day Bart, one day... >sigh< so many ideas so little time.
I'm planning on illustrating certain parts of the Mad Max story I'm writing, (check out the CD I sent you it's on it somewhere.) Finding time to write is bad enough but doing the drawings as well?.... sheesh I'm too busy building the bathroom in the attic conversion and plumbing that in right now.

Are we living in a land where sex and horror are the new gods?
well if people recall when mad max 4 fell throught with the ogrinal idea (you know max meets up with a grown up feral child and antie entity and possibly a cripser goose) miller had considered jsut releasing what he had done as a comic book. so thsi doesn't fully surpise me.
Production designer he used when MMIV was almost a go was Brendan McCarthy so hardly a surprise he was thinking of going the comic route, if that's true. McCarthy used to work on Judge Dredd and 2000ad. Fantastic artist. Really original. I'd kill to see what he's done for this movie but none of his designs ever leaked...
"...and it was here in this blighted place, he learned to live again."
