Those of you who haven't visited Australian Police Vehicles site lately there are a couple new pictures of some Victorian XB police cars (Albeit in B&W).

But can anyone from Victoria tell me what the occasion was for this paint scheme on the Monaro! Talk about standing out......

National holiday...like a centennial celebration...Australia Day parade vehicle..."maybe"...

So what's replacing the Monaro if it's the last year for it? Here State-side, the Camaro isn't supposed to come out until 2009. What's Holden/GM going to do for 2.5 years?

I was just gonna say.. "Labatouche sure ain't workin' for THAT Police Force.. Someone there Enjoys wasting money."

I hope that's not an actual Patrol car.

Ours here get too much abuse for the paint to stay nice for long.

I wonder if it's anything to do with the Victorian Police's drag racing program. They've had that thing going for several years now where you can race the cops at Calder Park Dragstrip. If not, I'd say it's part of some big PR excercise. Any Mexicans got the goss?
