Gas shortage

Im new to the whole Mad Max experience so don't laugh. If gas is so hard to find in Road Warrior, then how come everybody was driving around wasting it? Seems to me you would only drive when/if you needed to if it was so rare.

Good question. I think the Humungus gang figured they would get "the pump, the oil, the gasoline, and the whole compound" as quoted by humungus quickly. As far as Max, well in the opening montage, the grown feral kid explains, "only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive...." so I guess you had to keep on the move.

what else can a homeless person do all day?you don't find a job sitting on your arse allday now do you.he had to look and find.max never attacked though.he always defended.he didn't wait til the people in the compound had there gaurd down.he bargained.as papagello said"an honourable man" max was smart.educated and streetwise.a rare combination.more than a driver.the best cop on the mfp bar none.goose wasn't as smart. thats why he died like he did.roop was as thick as they come, actually that was steve millichamp being himself,the no good sex offender.what a dick.none of them would have survived the wasteland.it takes a truly intellegent being to survive like that.
