Radioactive H2O

Good Day mates. In Thunder, when Max first enters Bartertown, he's offered water for sale. He pulls out his geiger counter, scans the glass and the tank, and it goes nuts. What would happen if you took a long swig off water laced with fallout? Instant death? Long, slow death from cancer? Would you teeth glow a gleaming white?

Thanks

NO, NO , NO , .........ERIC , BROTHER , I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT QUESTION CAME OUT OF SOMEONE WHO LIVES BARELY 90 MILES DOWN THE HIGHWAY FROM THE NEVADA NUCLEAR TEST SITE?...you must be a TRANSPLANT!

Have you NOT taken MAYOR OSCAR GOODMAN'S advice and visited the city's NEW Nuclear Test Museum?

.............a possible case of LEUKEMIA...for starters..

After all, they used to " DO IT " above gound out at the test site.

I know all about the test site mate. I'll visit the museum right after Goodman makes good on his promise to get the scum out of downtown. He should do what the mayor of Salt Lake City did with their homeless: give them ten bucks and a bus ticket to Vegas, just the opposite direction. (of course the mormans will deny that claim, but it's soooo true)

You gotta like Oscar. What a trip. For those of our elsewhere brothers with a need to know , Oscar used to be a HUGE MOB ATTORNEY.. He even played HIMSELF in the movie CASINO.

All the BIGGEST wiseguys in L.V. were his clients in the day.

Now he's the Mayor of Las Vegas.

His son has to be THE BIGGEST real estate thief I've ever seen. He ( Oscar's son ) & a fellow named Pallazzo have been going around town slapping CONDEMMED stickers on older buildings all over Old Downtown so they can bulldoze them and build Hi-Rise HIGH-PRICED condos.

Oscar was asked by THIRD GRADERS: If you were alone on a desert island, what would you want to bring with you??..He said: " I think I would like to have a BOTTLE OF GIN, because I realy like to drink "...

*Oscar endorses BOMBAY SAPPHIRE GIN*

Leukemia, cancer..

Wouldn't live long enough to get either if the water were that Hot.

Wouldn't be an Instant Death.

Nor would it be Pleasant.

Causes the breakdown of Cellular Membranes. Starting with lower digestive tract.

However..

I don't think the water would be NEAR as hot as was shown in the movie after 20 years.

Water isn't very radiation absorbant, and what it did absorb, would have decayed to a much less lethal level by then.

More interesting is where Max got the batteries to run geiger counter!

It depends on the water. Extremely contaminated water, like the stuff generated by the Three Mile Island accident, would kill in a matter of seconds. It literally vibrated in a beaker, it was that radioactive.

Mildly contaminated water would make you extremely sick and probably die. It partially depends on the person's size and health.

The US government secretly tested this stuff on soldiers (mostly black)in the 1950s.

Also, http://www.kiddofspeed.com/ was proven fake more than a year ago. Everything about it is fiction.
