Just off the top of my head, and not to be a wet blanket or anything, but this sounds like a recipe for disaster...
Mad Max vehicles in a convoy on California roads is just inviting some kind of road rage incident.
And in a giddy, devil-may-care way, I'd LOVE to be a part of it. Let's see if I can get leave, get the Falcon or Mach 1 to Cali, and not get arrested by CHP...
Maybe an uparmored Humvee with a Mk. 19 needs to be 'transferred' to a base on the West coast.

Hey - finally some discussion!
Hi Javelyn. No, I haven't had too many comments. Bill Brown expressed interest (he's got a black interceptor in Oregon).
I think people will become more interested as the event date draws nearer.
Mitch - This drive will be on a Sunday afternoon - on Halloween. Who are you worried about? The Mad Max fans or the other drivers?

Morning Karol,
In California , I would worry more about the drivers.. I've driven down there.. Up here in
Washington state, we use them for target practice..((NOT)) Have a super day. Karen aka Javelyn

Sounds like fun, too bad I'm up here in eastern Washington state with no mad max vehicles. I do have a gray primer '67 big block charger that would kind of fit the part. It has a black interior and wide wheels out back.
I think someone needs to clone the MM2 Mack Truck. That would be sweet! I wonder if one would need some kind of special certificate to tow a gasoline tanker, whether it be empty or not?

Pursuit,
Your car sounds sweet. Just paint a skull on it and add some cheap driving lights and it'll be perfect. To really impress everyone, take the doors off!
Yes, I share your desire for a Mack Truck. I was thinking of getting a CB radio and asking passing rigs for permsission to follow. There are plenty of them on 101. I have also been trying to find an old Mack Truck owner in the area.
Tell me what would make the event even better and I'll see if I can organize it.

Eastern Washington Pursuit? Me too.. Guess I would have to find something on the
order of a dune buggie.. Karol , they probably don't allow them on california Highways
Do they ? Karen

Yes, I'm in Spokane Karen, how about you?
I do have a set of old cop lights that I once mounted on my other Charger, a '66, before it was painted. They are very similar to the lights that Max had on his yellow interceptor, which tells you why I bought them.
Here is a picture of the gray primer '67. Looks better wihtout the snow, but this is a nice rear 3/4 shot.
