The other day Midway announced a post apoc car combat game called Roadkill. You can check out all the info here
http://www.midway.com/cgi-bin/gx.cgi/Ap ... nsole=xbox
And get this, one of the cars you can drive is the V8 Interceptor
Doesn't look as good as the Carmageddon counterparts, IMO.

Hmm too many silly electrical weapons and missles and that kind of thing. Would've been better with just vehicle to vehicle combat with limited, primitive weapons.

Yeah, that's why I prefer the Carma 2 custom Interceptor and the official one in Carma 3. Kickass games and beautifully made cars without all the bullsh*t.
Still, if Roadkill comes out for PC (and it probably will considering all games that come out for so many consoles as well as the XBox are ported to the PC) I'll most likely pick it up.

And Carmageddon was a ripoff of the original Death Race 2000 game for the Atari or something.
There still hasn't been anything to match Carmageddon in overall coolness.

There's one for every single NFS game as well as several free racers. There's one in particular I posted about a long time ago:
http://www.racer.nl/ for the game and
http://www.racer-xtreme.com/cars.php?bk=80 for the cars.
