First off, this is my first post. I just signed up for the forums, and I want to say hello to everyone. I just recently rented all three MM movies at once, and loved them immensely. I've been a long time fan of FO & FO2, and knew for a long time that they resembled the MM universe, and even had a few references. I've beaten both, and can pretty much tell you anything you need to know about the two. I figured I start up a thread about them and see what everyone has to say about them. I also wanted to inform everyone that in FO2 there's a mod you can get to change the car into Max's black, and you can find Dogmeat (The dog from FO) in a special encounter. This, if your also wearing the leather jacket or combat leather jacket and using the sawed off shotgun, makes your experience extremely MM like. Sorry if my message was a bit long. I look forward to chatting with all of you in the future.

Hey, where's the car mod? I've been looking for it forever and was about to quit and make the thing myself.

lol Actually I lost it a long time ago and don't remember

. There is a similar mod at this address though:
http://www.duckandcover.net/fallout2/mods.shtml. It's called Paintjob 1.0. If you do happen to still make a definitive Black Interceptor mod though, please send me a link to a place I can get it

Have any of you ever played Fallout tactics?this is like Fallout but more in a tactical sense,in this game you belong to a team of the Brotherhood of steel. If u wanna find something really cool in Fallout 2 go to the secret army base and find the computer it will tell u why and how civilisation ended. If i,m not mistaken it is called skynet like the Computer in Terminator 2,kinda cool i reckon.

I have FOT. It's a pretty big let down. All references to Mad Max and pretty much everything from the previous Fallout games have been removed. As a tactical game it sucks. There really is no tactics. You just have to keep getting bigger and better guns and armor until the last mission.
As far as post apoc games go, FOT is pretty good. Graphics are amazing. The levels look really damn cool. There's a lot of weapons, but I personally feel there's way too much. After the 2nd or 3rd mission you have enough ammo and cash to last the rest of the game. There's no sense of having to scavenge for stuff. Anyway, you always go from hunting rifle + shotgun -> sniper rifle + super shotgun/SMG -> laser rifles + miniguns
If you play through with any other combination it's too much of a pain in the ass.

I too have played FO:Tactics. I have to say it is a pretty cool game, but yes, it does drift from that wonderful scavenger of the wastes kinda feel. It does have strategy too it though, especially in multi player. Most just don't think enough to see it. Say some guy closes him self up in a room with one entrance, so that if anyone steps through, *BAM* / *ZAP*/ etc. Well, you could have one guy continually fire at the door, and then toss in a grenade. Guy stays in, major damage. Guy walks out, he's hit with stream of bullets. There are many other such instances where strategy can be used effectively. Anyway, I guess thats it.

Oooh I just reinstalled Fallout 2. It's so damned good. I must have wasted like 20 hours of my life playing through it the first time. Its got everything you could want, post apocalyptic warfare, leather armour, sawn off shotguns and gigantic mutants in robotic suits.
