I didn't realise until I found this website what a cult following Mad Max had, especially overseas. I think it's great that a little Aussie film like this one could create so many fans. I think that with so many fans, this film can life forever. Rock on all MM fans.

Yeah Loki, tou're right. It's incredible huh? When I first found this place, I searched the net for The Blues Brothers and well, I reckon Mad Max has a much bigger following- it really is a cult!

It's a unique Trilogy, appealing to many different types: sci fi fans, muscle car fans, bike fans, Mel fans, brain damage fans, etc.

Actually, I'm a fan of all of those. I'm sure I'm not alone.

The cross section of people at back2themax was pretty amazing. I would wager about half of them have never seen this or other max sites. Yet they all know heaps of trivia, info and love talking about Max.

You hear police talking about people driving like 'Mad Max' Its almost like its a small part of modern day culture.

I saw "The Road Warrior" first before the original, and that same summer "Mad Max" appeared on cable, and it took a short while for me to put it together. Anyway, I just remember being very impressed with Gibson before he became known in the U.S. We'd talk about Harrison Ford back then and I kept tellin' people "ya know who's great - Mel Gibson!" Soon they learned...

I'm much the same US Bloke. I saw both the second and third ones before I saw the origional, bur then I fell in love with them. My mum used to tell me off, cause she'd ask what I wanted to watch and instantly I'd say "Mad Max". She doesn't like the origional, but she likes the other two. I love them all. I think it is a classic piece of film making history. I don't think I'm alone either. Just the posts in here tell me that.
