Professionally-filmed footage of the Mad Max-inspired events

Hello guys,
If you store in your archives some professionally-filmed footage on 35/16mm depicting all these fantastic Mad Max-inspired events/festivals, why don't you transfer that on HD for a future "anthology" blu-ray.
These events are integral part of the Mad Max mythology, so they must be preserved in the proper way for the future generations.

I do agree that the Roadwar USA events (Roadwar 101, 151, and NW), as well as the subsequent Roadwarrior Weekend Event that morphed into Wasteland Weekend, Japans Mad Max meets etc. are all important parts of the Mad Max Mythology and history. Unfortunately I don't think we are really in a position to facilitate any analog filming, editing etc. For our part, we do Roadwar NW of of pocket and it is free to attend. Likewise nobody has ever indicated any interest in buying a video or similar so I am not sure the events really merit the expense. If you know someone with likeminded thought who would want to come and direct / shoot, develop, edit, and produce the 35mm or 16mm film versions we would welcome them with open arms. We do not currently have such a connection, or resources to hire anyone. So sadly, for the moment relying on the best available consumer level digital technology and our volunteers to do the production (such as it is) will be the best we can hope for until someone comes along.

I pretty much understand your point of view and your needs, as well as issues with it, you're right all along anyway.
THAT SAID, just collect all the SD videos you did throughout the years about the events, and back-up them on many hard-disks for preservation and safety purpose.
If you get VHS copies, just digitize them on LOSSLESS digital format files like H.264 or ProRes. Or even MPEG-4.
One day, you could launch on the market an "anthology DVD" of the ROADWAR EVENTS. This is history!

Thanks brother! Yes have been following the various iterations and versions of timelines from people since the early days when we started seeing them. More recently seeing some YouTube timeline videos as well.
