1:24 scale Road Warrior Tanker

So I have long toyed with the idea of rebuilding my lost opening chase diorama ( see thread of same name ) but struggled with the notion of repetitive modelling so decided to build the truck as the tanker from the final chase scene . The R.H.D dash is a custom build up from plasticard , The exhaust from perforated brass plate and aluminum tubing . the sun visor was compound bent from brass sheet and the air-filters are from plastic tube with scoops made from mini lego and plastic putty . The Tanker is made from pvc drainpipe bent to an oval by wedging a plank of wood slightly wider the pipe inside to stretch it into an elliptical shape , then immersing in boiling water for about 30 seconds to set the pipe in shape . The chassis rails and undercarriage are from the amt tanker kit but the tri axle and springs were custom made , as were the turrets and hr holden rear guard station . The armour is P.E brass ( Modular desert runway panels ) and the barbed wire is hand twisted from surplus P.E model ship handrails cut into single strands . I am going to pop this on EvilBay in the coming week but if you are interested please P.M me for forum member special price plus the logistic of getting it to you
