I'm writing a story based on this Irish Telecom ad where a little blonde girl reaches Santa Claus on her toy phone. My premise will be "how much mischief and trouble can be caused if young children could reach magical creatures on their toy telephones. Think Enid Blyton mixed with Irish folklore.
I know that the Twilight Zone did something like it with Bill Mumy, but it would have worked a lot better with a little girl because of how the audience would've reacted emotionally, and also because of gendered expectations of children and certain toys.
