Alternate versions of The Road Warrior?

Can somebody please bring me up to speed on what alternate edits/dialogue/scenes exist out there?

I'm under the impression there was a version shown on TV or released to video that was different from what was in US theaters, but I'm very hazy on the details.

I ask because I've recently stumbled upon a community in which people hunt for and find rare, out-of-print and unreleased versions of movies, and I'm thinking I'd like to find these things.

The only truly alternate version of The Road Warrior is the "Lost Version" aka TV Alternate Cut.

It's been so heavily censored that they had to insert unused footage to make it all work.

This is the only version that is worth the attention really. Other versions are either censored, have different intro narration or slightly different colorization of the whole movie.

Dear God, that voice-over sounds so jarringly wrong! Like they got some cheesy character actor. Why, why, why?? Why would they do such a thing? LOL
