MM1 Horn Cadence

Post by Zoomie »

In the opening chase of MM1 as Max closes on the Night Rider Max sounds his horn, The cadence is the horn cadence of the car in the movie 'The Car' James Brolin was in it. "The Car" (movie) was released about four years before the 1979 release of Mad Max. Miller watched car movies because he is a car guy. This may had been noticed before. If not give it a listen!

Sounded very much like an XB Falcon standard horn to me?

I may stand corrected here but it was actually Byron Kennedy who was really the "car fan" of the two.
Looks like I got me some guzzoline eh....V-8?

Not the sound or tone of the horn. The timing of it's manipulation A blast, a pause followed by three quick blasts. Are you familiar with the movie . 'The Car" I think it was 1976 and American actor James Brolin was in it. Movie about a car from hell. That was it's horn 'cadence'

What I suddenly found interesting one day,
while rewatching Road Warrior #358,
was that the incidental music almost sounds like a kung fu movie.

And some of the Humongous gang have pole knives and other Asian influences.
Because Australia is close to Japan and China.
