Movie tie-ins

So I'm past half-way in the game and it's starting to ramp up. Enjoying it heaps even though it's starting to get tougher.
I'm a bit surprised by how much cross-reference to Fury Road there is. As mentioned in other threads, George Miller obviously fed the game developers a lot of information and visuals, way before the release of the movie. I thought I'd list what I'd come across so far that I recall:
Gastown is included in the game. The Bullet Farm and Citadel are mentioned but aren't part of the gameplay.
I think Glory is the only specific character from the movie that I've come across so far. Immortan Joe and Miss Giddy are mentioned, but aren't encountered. Glory's mother Hope's back story is that she was one of Joe's "breeders", another movie tie-in. Scrotus is one of Joe's sons, and has a strong resemblance to Rictus.
War Boys are throughout the game as Max's adversaries, and they have a very similar look to the movie, right down to the black-forehead war paint, and they way they will often ride a vehicle on the outside, holding on, as they do in the movie. There are Buzzards to encounter as well.
Thundersticks are weapons faced throughout the game.
Storms are a frequent occurrence, similar to the one the War Rig drives into in the movie.
The vehicles have a very similar look to those in the movie, including some covered in spikes as used by the Buzzard tribe in the movie.
There are some tie-ins to the trilogy as well. Max is often referred to as a "raggedy man" by adversaries. There is a thunderdome, although it's clearly not THE thunderdome. And a relic I found had reference to Smegma Crazies. There are a Gyro Captain hat and Humungus face-mask hood ornaments to collect.
So it would be wrong I think to call this game truly standalone. It'd definitely within the universe of Fury Road.
