Legend - New Tom Hardy Film - Recommended!

Post by scfc68 »

Just a heads up on this; seen it today. We all kind of agree Tom's done a decent job of Max but it ain't heavyweight acting still is it? This on the other hand is real quality, he does a brilliant job of Ron & Reg. Really impressed, the film is pretty good too. Tries hard to not glamourise them too much (they're kind of loved still here in England). Well, well worth going to see anyway guys!

I saw this last night and really enjoyed it. It actually felt like two different actors. Incredible performance by Tom Hardy.

I loved the way Ronnie did a grunt that sounded just like Max near the end of the film.

I've seen Tom in a few films now, and continue to be very impressed by his acting. He's done a great job in a variety of roles.
I look forward to this one also.

I also didn't know he was a potential for James Bond, although in this interview he's apparently not interested:

If anyone wants to see him in a sort of "pure acting" (I don't know the proper term) role check out Locke. Basically the whole movie takes place inside his car with him speaking to people on the phone who we never get to see on screen. There's nothing grand going on, just a personal crisis playing out. I thought it was a decent movie.
