When did Max reveal his name to Pappagallo and WHY?

Since this is an important plotpoint in the Fury Road universe/continuity, I left myself wondering why Papagallo did know Max's name.......

Max just doesn't care. Why should he reveal that?

I'm talking about the Original Trilogy/Mel Max, of course........................

I wondered that same thing just yesterday when watching it, I guess we will just have to assume that sometime offscreen, perhaps during the 1st meeting when they are discussing the deal that he maybe told them then. He never does tell him his name onscreen. Maybe he offered them part of his story to help convince them he could be trusted.

Or just "used" his name to create a feeling of collaboration.
He also "used" his name in Thunderdome, when he told Master about it. "Me Max".
Seems like it doesn't truly matter to Max Prime.

In MM2 we see only the end of the discussion Max had with Papagallo and the others when he states the final agreement.
We can only guess how the negotiation progressed. It is very likely Max has introduced himself when they asked who he was. He was at there mercy after all.

EXACTLY!!!
We miss probably a good half hour of conversation, plus around 2 hours of filling the jerry cans and wrapping his boots etc.

Yup, it really did take 2 hours, it was like one of those puzzles where you have have different sizes of cans but none are exactly 5 gallons so you have to pour into and out of and so on to get exactly 5 gallons.

Not to mention it's like the morning when Max first enters the compound - cause he's just woken up.
The sun's going down when they're making the deal and it's full on night time when Max gets started.
Over an entire day i'm sure he was asked his name.

perhaps the gantry slung mechanic told him...he knew all about the car so would most probably know max's name .I 'm assuming Max's exploits as well as the car would make up the "Piece of history "he refers to .

What surprises me is the fact Max gave his name... and they were interested into knowing it.

But after all he had no problems in Thunderdome too. Different MM universe.
