The comic does not give much: It only reveals that they are recruited among the scavengers.
Some questions: Why are the children white? They are so white that it looks almost like their natural skin color.
"Half-life War Boys": What is this supposed to mean?
Do they have leukaemia??? Why the blood transfusions?
What are the tumors they have about?
Of note is an older "War Boy" that has a age 50 ish middle aged voice- apparently the Sarge answering to Furiosa. He too has tumors, but clearly he has lived a long time.
There are so many unanswered questions, deliberately left out in the film.

I can't remember where I read it, but it is the same white powder Immotan uses for his sick skin. They worship him so much, they want to look like him.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.

I assumed it was some kind of talc powder. Near the beginning of the film when Joe was getting ready he was putting some powdery stuff on.
Or is it some kind of natural sun block?
