(CONTAINS SPOILERS)!!!
I watched Mad Max Fury Road yesterday, and I think its..................................... a bit weird............ I mean the action is very good executed and very cool but I think the story is kinda strange............ So the story is in a apocalyptic world where there is almost no water and gasoline left.................. And then there is this villain.......... So Furiosa and Max steal his "wifes" (I think they are way too young for him) and then the whole movie is a one big car chase through the desert............... In the end they kill the villain and happily return............ 1 of his "wifes" died but the rest are fine........... So lets say its a happy ending I guess........................... I dont know, I didnt really like the storyline that much.............. and what is whit all those white people? Are they even human? What are your thoughts on the movie???

It was weird. That was the whole point. The wives were too young for Joe because they were sex slaves. They didn't chose to marry him.

The War Boys are white because they are anemic and suffering from radiation sickness induced birth defects ,its weird in a typical ozploitation ( google that ) way
The story line is fine look at the Book of Eli - man transports last bible across post apocalyptic landscape and succeeds
The movie is set over just 2- 3 days not much time to get any deeper

What I thought about the plot was that it was pure B move. Take away the budget, and that would be exactly what you got. The action carried it.

So, some of you guys don't like action movies or what?
Firstly, mention one action film that wouldn't suck if it only had its story and no budget? (apart from the first Mad Max movie)
Secondly, Fury Road has a lot of story and character development in it if you're not blinded by the action. I'd also claim because of the rather straightforward main story, it doesn't have the massive plot holes and completely unbelievable characters that movies like Transformers( I am a huge fan of those still though) , Fast and the Furious, or Avengers does. Seriosly, the Avengers biggest enemies are themselves and their complete and utter uselessness (not saying that isn't also fun though)
And just to hammer that point a bit, this movie doesn't have 'superhumans' in it, so you actually don't know if they are going to make it or not (some even die), and I'm not talking about the actual superheroes like Hulk, seriously, are you ever afraid that Liam Neeson is gonna die in 'Taken' to make one example?
I think Fury Road is a beatiful example of simple storytelling, where the actual story is a large part of the plot, unlike most modern action movies.

The whoosh of things over over people's heads is deafening. Immortan Joe is a brutal dictator; keeping sex slaves, using everyone else for his own purposes, and deliberately limiting water to maintain his control over the people below. He has even made himself into a holy figure to the War Boys ... the suggestion is that the other towns are kept in a similar circumstance - the warlords have luxurious vehicles and lots of water, guns, and gas.
This mirrors the circumstances of real dictatorships, both past and present.
Furiosa just wants to escape and go home, and the brides go with her. They aren't stolen, they're escaping too. And Max just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, so gets swept up along with them. Since Furiosa's home has been destroyed the plan to overthrow Immortan Joe's empire comes in, and it's implied that at the end Furiosa will be in charge, and that things will definitely change for the better as a result.
There's a lot of details in the plot and characters, and it manages to get more crammed in than Star Wars did in 6 movies.
