Autoduel, the CRPG based on the Car Wars boardgame, was released 30 years ago.

The attached image shows before the desert warfare in Mad Max Fury Road, Max was taking down organized crime on the U.S. East Coast.

Translation: The attached image is displayed when the player accomplishes the final battle in the Autoduel CRPG.

With the upcoming release of Mad Max Fury Road, I replayed Autoduel last week to create the attached image. I thought it would be a fun celebration of Max returning to movie screens after 30 years, and the 30th anniversary of Autoduel.

Very cool.
If you enjoy the turn base style of Car Wars you should check out Darkwind - War on Wheels. It is an online turn based game with various types of play and very reminiscence of Car Wars.

Thanks for spoiling the ending!

I thought that game was so cool but I never got far in it. I played it again a few times here and there in recent years but again never got far. I think I also edited save files to mess with it a few years back.

I've been away from DW for a year or so, and they've made some significant improvements. I need to get back to it myself. I just wish life would give me time to play games on line .
