We're now 365 days away from FURY ROAD!

...and counting down!!

Might be a little more or less given your timezone but either way we're now officially under a year away from a new Mad Max movie hitting the big screen. Something that hasn't happened in nearly 30 years.

I've never seen a Mad Max film on the big screen because I wasn't either born yet or too young of a lad given I was born in 1982 but Mad Max 2 was one of the first movies I saw as a young kid in Kempton Park, South Africa when my parents were watching it on TV. I didn't understand much of what was going on but the imagery stuck with me. From the barren world to the black leather the hero was wearing with the shoulder armor dealing with a weird guy jumping out the sand and having to turn off a "booby trap" on this monstrous looking car that even as a kid I thought looked wicked. I have memories after watching the movie of vaguely playing on a bicycle pretending it was the car while using some of my old dad's spark plugs and using my imagination they were parts of the "booby trap" I'd have to turn on or off so nobody would still my bicycle.

I think I saw Beyond Thunderdome a couple of years later which stuck with me more given I was a little older and the world got a little bit more "Mad" and creative. I loved it all though and when I got older I did manage to watch the first film which confused the hell out of me given how different it looked in contrast to other two films. I'd always wanted to see another Mad Max film and I came across Peter's site I think, though don't swear by it, in 2000 and there was some rumors of a new film but nothing concrete though my interest was piqued and it was also around that time N2 release their Road Warrior action figures too. Momentum died down again and then the press conference in 2009 kicked everything in to overdrive and we got some steady news until it stalled out again because of the weather in Broken Hill and then kicked back up when they actually began filming.

Bloody hell. I didn't mean to ramble on and apparently about nothing lol but thinking about Fury Road and that I'll be seeing a new Mad Max film, on the big screen, in less than a year excites the fucking shit out of me right now.

We're almost at the finish line!!

...unless they delay it again...

I know what you mean, man. In France, we'll be lucky enough to watch FURY ROAD May 13 next year. The sole idea to finally see this movie on the silver screen blow my mind. Mad Max 4 in theaters at last, it's nearly unimaginable to me. The wait was so long. And it's almost over :) I can't wait to see this day!

Wow, this is so cool. We're only ELEVEN MONTHS away from Fury Road!

And just think, this movie is supposed to be a game changer. If it truly is then maybe movies will start to get great again--I'm really looking forward to that!

Well, we're right about 5 months(and only FOUR complete months J,F,M,A) before Fury Road!

And, we're just a week or two away from the 2nd trailer release. This board is going to light up when that happens!

It's hard to believe we are in the home stretch. It has been years in the making, and 10 times as long just waiting. It has been 36 years since I first met Max, a week after my 52nd birthday I'll get to met the new Max and his new group of friends. The whole thing is kinda ser-real. It won't really sink in until I actually watch it on the big screen. If I can see it in 3-D and/or IMAX I will.
The most unreal part is planning on taking my GRANDCHILDREN to see this film. Yes, it's been a long, long, wait.

Come to think of it - it's been little over 5 years when we first saw that Holden Ute from FR but it feels like it was yesterday. That's how accustomed I got to waiting for this movie, 5 years is nothing and first tidbits about Fury Road from 2001 somehow don't feel like ancient history either.
Anyway, we're almost there!

Man i feel a bit glad i didn't wait as long as you guys, must be painful lol.The first time i hear about the new one is when the news covered a story of it and show the new BoB Interceptor (which i think looks better than the one in Fury Road). After that, i didn't give it much of a thought until the leaked photos of Tom Hardy as Max came out.

Ol' Coyote, it has been pretty painful for sure. I remember when they finally started filming in the Summer of 2012 and we were thinking Fury Road would be released around May, 2013. And we were off by TWO YEARS!
