Screening of Mad Max at Backlot Studios in Melbourne on April 6 includes a Q & A with the film's credited editors Cliff Hayes and Tony Paterson. Unfortunately it does not look like this is open to the public. Too bad. I'd love to hear what these guys have to say.

Good to hear, seriz. Since we've heard the stories of how Kennedy and Miller spent a year at home cutting the sound and picture on their own equipment, I'm curious to know just how much creative input these other two really had on this film. I suspect not a lot, but I'm sure they'll still have some interesting anecdotes to share with the audience.

the problem is that you can't believe everything Tony Paterson said for exemple. I interviewed him last year, a great interview, very nice stuff, but time to time, I suspect it's not totaly "honest"...
He said, for exemple, that he created the structure of the film, but when you take a look to the original script, you can see that the structure was already there...
But, he told me stories about the difficulties to edit some scenes with not enough material, the story of Bubba and the fly, Max taking the Black Pursuit, and some other very nice concatenations like that...
But because I already spoke to M. Paterson, I'm very curious to heard M. Hayes !

It was a very nice afternoon, nice anecdotes about the editing of the movie ! David Eggby was there, hidden in the audience, giving his point of view and sharing some stories !

M. Tony Paterson, myself and in my arms, the machine who was used to cut the movie !
