Do you want a classical score similar to MMBT or a modern techno score like Tron Legacy?
Personally I want a classical score, I love the music in all three films so far, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's work on Thunderdome is awesome and often heard in our home.
We cant have Brian May's use of horns as he passed away but stick to the pattern and I will happy.
Music Score
Re: Music Score
Neither... I'd prefer more Industrial/ Industrial Metal (bands like Psyclon Nine, Combichrist etc.).
Re: Music Score
Don't you think that would be a big change from the OT? I know its a reboot but look at Prometheus as an example, the 'tech' on display puts it a loggerheads with Alien.
Re: Music Score
im looking for a classic film ... with a classic score ... a classical score ... none of this atticus ross business although i liked book of eli ... but this is going to be a bigger movie

Re: Music Score
It's an interesting question, and no one immedtiately springs to my mind.
I thought Daft Punk's score to Tron Legacy was awesome, but I don't know that they're right for this. Their score and their music fit exactly into the world of Tron (as did their cameo), but this isn't that style of film.
Other scores I've liked in the past year would be Inception (Hans Zimmer) or Drive (Cliff Martinez, who I've also liked other scores he has done) - but again, they're both different styles of film, and soundtrack. I can't really think of anything that sounded "Mad Max", and I actually don't recall much of the Book of Eli soundtrack as all - if it didn't leave a lasting impression, that's probably not a good thing...

I love Cliff Martinez' work, and I also enjoy Book of Eli soundtrack, the use of e-bow is very haunting.
I am for a Classical score, but if they don't go there, I would like Muse to do the soundtrack, talented bunch that I think would suit the film.

Re: Music Score
The music to the car chase in Matrix Reloaded was good, Don Davis composed the overall score, but that piece was in collaboration with Juno Reactor (Ben Watkins). As good as that was though, I still can't quite picture that exact style working for Mad Max either. I will be intrigued to see which way they go with this. Without the choices of Brian May or Maurice Jarre, it's all up in the air from my perspective.
Re: Music Score
I'd like the original score remixed by someone like Ventian Snares, and yes I am serious LOL
It needs classical, it needs horns, but it needs dragging into this century and ramping up to the more extreme re-telling. Plus if they're going to redo it, may as well redo it differently.

"Wrong, we fight for a belief. I stay."
Re: Music Score
I expect a famous singer or band to contribute a song or more like Tina Turner did for TD.

Re: Music Score
Good classical or a slower, moody goth/industrial. Something like "Hardware" but without the pop songs.
