When they enter the hospital in the battle gear - Norton even says "Watch your six!" a couple of times.
EDIT: With the castle, I liked that - deliberate desire to take everything back to 'the good old days' ... especially given the foreshadowing from earlier.

I'm a bit disappointed they used the original timeline, it looks out of place.

It doesn't just look out of place; It
is out of place. If Mel Gibson had played Max, he would have been the right age, and all the timelines would have fit just fine.
But Tom Hardy being as young as he is necessitates a very different timeline. It feels to me like the comic's creators have chosen fan service over actually creating a believable canon.
How sad.

you do realize that Miller wrote all these comics right? were his name not attached I might be with you on that but this all supposed to be cannon and fits together somehow. the new comic priview shows us what we already known before. but I suspect the comic will go in depth as much as it can to show us why things are as they are now. so let's wait till the issue hits before we start jumping to all sorts of conclusions.

Yeah i know Miller wrote all of these but come on, you don't think it looks out of place ? Miller said Fury Road is a revisit, not a sequel or anything and now we get this backstory which directly connect Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome to Fury Road.
I just hope the rest of the comic explain it good.

I'm watching Doomsday right now. He actually says "Check your corners" a couple of times, but I didn't hear "Watch your six."
I'm halfway through the film, and I hate to say it, but I'm not quite getting why it would resonate so strongly for you. It seems like of, I dunno, like one of those low-budget, direct-to-video things.

It's a budget movie, yes ... Mad Max 1 was a budget movie too. I just think it's a huge heap of fun action movie that isn't patronising
As for the Max comic ... yeah, having the previous movies summarized is pretty weird and unnecessary. Fingers crossed it has a better story than the first couple of comics.
