Do you mean the word "Fuck" with the F bomb because he is 'saying' it?
As far as I can remember he indeed says/swears something a couple off times. But you have to remember these are practical stunts. Hardy was strapped to the front of the car for real, at high speed. What would you have felt like

This is the first time for me that I've watched a MM movie with subtitles. (in the cinema you can not turn them of ;) )
Sometimes I wonder if the translator has it correct. I read something else than I think I hear.
But on the other hand, how is the translation done. Do the foreign countries get a copy of the exact text spoken in the film? Or do they have to translate it by playing the movie and listen?

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Yeah I thought I heard him say Fuck a couple of times, but he was muzzled so I couldn't hear it clearly.

Yeah, they get the transcription in original language and then just translate it. Which leads to weird stuff if they do not watch the material as well!

On that note, can someone tell me the quotes at the end, in proper english. The ones by the first historian or whatever it is called. That was translated completely (no subtitles) and made no sense whatsoever, so I would like to know it in original form.

I can't remember it exactly but to be honest it wasn't that inspiring.

Something about wondering through the wasteland and credited to the "First History Man" or along those lines.

So, saw it again tonight. Last night I was very confused and, in all honesty, couldn't work out whether I liked it or not. Tonight. Wow. Transformed. I think it might be one of the greatest films I've ever seen. There were so many amazing moments I lost count. It's an insane film and I can't imagine anyone will make something so big and ridiculous again in the history of cinema. I really don't understand how George convinced people to do this....and I think the review embargo WAS because the studio weren't totally sure which way people would go. I know this sounds overblown but, man, how did this happen? I could watch it forever.

I thought I heard him say it a couple of times.
I thought he said "ooww fuck me" after Nux went nuts and punch the throttle.

Other than that it sounds like he was grumbling.

From top to bottom. Five minutes in, felt like I was watching a different movie. Seriously, halfway in I was thinking it's as good as MM2. Less narration at the start, less footage of the world ending, no narration at the end. Ended up loving the flashbacks, weirdly enough. They were so fucking bad in the rough cut but they've tightened them up and made them integral to the story now. Even ended up loving Hardy's take on Max in the end. A complete turnaround! I absolutely fucking loved it. So much so, I snuck in to watch the first half again just as it started up in another theater. Theaters were packed for both screenings. That's a good sign.
Do you remember what was the narration at the end ? Was it some Max's voice over ?

Huh. So Max doesn't have a daughter. The girl he sees is named Glory and was just another innocent he couldn't save. This is from the upcoming prequel comic:
Left for dead and his V8 Interceptor stolen, Max Rockatansky sets out to retrieve it… heading straight into the bowels of the sunken city with nothing but his sawed-off shotgun. But the stakes are much higher than the fate of Max’s ride… an innocent girl, Glory, has also been kidnapped by the depraved Buzzards. By the time Max arrives, it may already be too late…

Cool. I feel FR looks like a prequel to BT. If Mel had been in and this was done in 1997-2000, it would have functioned that way. After all, there was like a 15 years gap to fill between RW and BT.

One can imagine Max would have just rebuilt his car, after the end of RW, over the years, this for continuity. Since there are lots of V8 in FR.
