FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!

A couple of things/theories after watching the trailer frame by frame:

1. Max wasn't chasing the 'tanker' in the beginning. The bad guys chased after him.

The truck in the background is most likely the car trailer truck that picks up wreckages. The flares/signals were most likely fired by the marauders letting the truck know where to look for the wreckage.
Max got run down the road because of the V8's poor condition - ruined tyre, running on god knows what as indicated by the black smoke after it starts.

2. The shot of Furiosa looking into the distance at night.

If you look closely, she's looking at the sea, with the light possibly coming from a lighthouse. I've read somewhere that Furiosas 'destination' is a place from her childhood. I believe she wants to take the Five Wives to the coast (this theory could be supported by leaked photos taken by the shore with a derelict ship)

3. Immortan Joe

His face isn't disfigured from the start. The footage shows his chin intact, which means at some point his jaw literally gets ripped off (according to leaked character photos).

4. The Five Wives

Looks like a couple of them don't make it. "Toast" (Zoe Kravitz) gets pulled out of the cab. "Capable" (Riley Keough) is pregnant and falls off the War Rig. "The Dag" (Abbey Lee) seems somewhat autistic... I'm assuming "Fragile" (Courtney Eaton) makes it through.

Is she the one on the truck hood with her plam on the windscreen. Maybe she's a character similar to the feral kid?

Also, Nathan Jones (Rictus Erectus) just hinted that Immortan Joe is his father.

I think you're right about Max losing because of his car's poor condition.

I just hope that either through the intro or at some point - and this is nostaliga rather than needed for the film's new audience lol - we get an idea that he was an exceptional driver. He just seems a bit useless in the trailer lol.

He looks a bit like Sad Max rather than Mad Max.

What an outstanding trailer! Saw the clip early this morning and must of watched it 20 times already.
This clip has far exceeded my expectations. Mind blowing. I'm glad it's not a copycat movie of road warrior and that Miller and co have expanded on that world whist still keeping the core elements that made Mad Max 2 the cult hit it is.
I am pumped to see this and it's great to see fans, media and general public with overwhelming support so far.

Love that over fuelling black smoke from the interceptor on start up.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But does anyone think the laughter when he says his name is Max could be from his backstory? Possibly some crazies who kill family? Just seems a little out of place except to add to the madness.

I thought the same thing. His voice over must be from the narration from the beginning and just added to that for the preview.
It would be nice if it's just Max telling the story this time.
