I've always heard that they used to just give them out, but that stopped a long time ago. I've always wondered why.

Some kind of over complicating legal thing? Maybe stuff like eBay created an explosion of interest/value as collectables that the theaters felt it wasn't right to just give it away, or the movie co's didn't want to dilute the market? Or the same thing but the employees simply started to take them? Maybe too many people started asking and it simply got annoying, or they felt it was more fair to just deny everyone? Or... what??

My local cinema sells all its old promo stuff you just put your name down on the list , its a small town cinema though, I actually got my poster for free because there was none left but the manager found one behind another poster on the wall display it was a " Coming Soon " one but still very cool of her , I'm paying 15 bux for the standing display - bargain , missed out on a banner grrr

Our video stores give away stuff - as long as you get in first and they take your number etc, but not the bloody cinemas.
So i'm hoping when Fury road comes in on dvd etc i'll get a chance to beg for some posters etc.

SAME DOWN HERE, MAN!!!
Managed to catch it twice this week so far and they said due to Popular demand they're gonna run it 2 more.
I'm on number 8, hoping to make it an even 10.

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesuschrist!

A Mad Max film boring???

Even Thunderdome i've seen over 200 times since i was 8 years old.

Illegal or not, i've recorded up to an hour of Fury Road on my phone to keep me going till the dvd release.
there's nothing cooler than having a shit day at work and having your favourite scenes right in your hand to watch whenever you want.
Can't sleep?
Sitting on the toilet?
Waiting in a drivethru?
When in doubt, watch Fury Road footage :D

Short answer?
No.

Currently I´m on number 21 (...)

The plan is to see it 30 times . . .
One viewing for each year since 1985 I wasn`t able to see a MAD MAXmovie in theaters
