Miller has stated this yes that he is basing the film more along the lines of oil and water shortages, climate change etc was all mentioned.

Im wondering with all the people "mutated" is immortan joe using modified DNA on his subjects? As opposed to the idea of mutated people from fall out?

I TOO AGREE IMMORTAN JOE IS VERY HITLERISH IN HIS ORATORY TONE.

IF ANYONE HAS (AND IM SURE BEING WASTELAND FANS YOU HAVE) SEEN THE ENGLISH DUB OF 'FIST OF THE NORTH STAR' ANIME.
In particular the fight between KING ROAH AND KIBA DAIOAH AND HIS STEEL BODY.
HE TOO SPEAKS THROUGH A MIC. IN FACT THE VOICE TO ME IS VERY VERY SIMILAR TO IMMORTAN JOES.

The speed up comedy chase through the tunnels in fury rd are no different than the sped up comedy part in road warrior when the shagging mohawk is exposed. Plus max chase through humungus camp pre car flip. Its all sped up.

Lots of tributes to the trilogy. The immortan joe thunderdome style crib!

I was sceptical on the comic con trailer. Im not here for hardy im here for the tribute and millers exceptional work. The action and cinematography looks beautiful.

A search on imdb reveals the actors name of kiba daiouh is James Avery. Wonder if its his voice and not Hughs keys?

I'd imagine some of this might crossover to the movie given how much movie stuff crossed over but in the video game they mention the War Boys are young men from their teens to mid 20s who don't live long past that because of their bodies being ridden with disease and sickness like cancer etc which is why they seek to have a glorious death to ascend to Valhalla.

UK Fans you have an assignment: If you go see Furious7 starting tomorrow in Odeon theaters you'll be treated to a 6 minute sizzle reel/trailer for Fury Road. This doesn't appear to be showing in the US so does someone wanna...uh...film it?! :D

Interesting thoughts on modified DNA and the War Boys. I guess there's also the possibility Immortan Joe is reproducing like crazy via his wives and thus creating his own superior race which in effect would make him immortal.

Just a curiosity...the guy in red is a stuntman, Benjamin Smith Petersen. While filming Fury Road he met on set Riley Keough (the "wife" with red hair, Capable) , they fell in love and now they are married!

Anyway, speaking about Immortal Joe, in the italian trailer he sounds like Mussolini....
