I love how the BoB roll was shot. Another director would have used several camera angles, quick edits and maybe even shaky-cam in an attempt to make it look cool. Miller uses just one near-static camera and keeps it on the car the whole way through the roll. Love it.

After clicking around the internet the past hour, I can conclude that for the majority of folks following SDCC, the MMFR reveal was the best thing to come out of the Con. Given the competition, that says a lot. I also see that as of now, the trailer on Youtube has over 1.2 million views with a thumbs up/down ratio of 50 to 1. As a comparison, the Jupiter Ascending trailer released the day before has only one quarter the views and a poorer thumbs ratio.

I agree.

I would say the second most exciting thing that happened at Comic Con was Gareth Edwards' announcement that Godzilla 2 is going to happen, and it will apparently include Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. A teaser trailer was shown which featured glimpses of them, and it was stated unequivocally that Toho has made a licensing deal, so it really will be those monsters, and not just monsters that vaguely look like them.

I'm looking forward to that!

I like the way you can actually see a guy throw a boomstick to take it out. Impressively co-ordinated stunt.

Anyone notice the amount black smoke the interceptor belched on start up?

I think the inferance was that coupe wasnt in good shape (the blown tyre with newspapers).

So much detail to look at.

Ripsaw footage looks CGI???? Or am i wrong?

a little bit of info on the BoB rollover, it was done by stunt legend Guy Norris of mm2 fame. In the rehearsals he got 10 rolls out of an xb 4 door.

I thought there WERE close up shots of the roll over because didn't they build a special rig to hold the car up and rotate it for the cameras?

We all have MAD MAX 1 and 2 version model kits of the Interceptor, right?

What i wanna know is, who will be the first to make a FURY ROAD INTERCEPTOR Model kit? 8-)

I got 2 spare Cavalier's i've been saving for years - they're nothing like the Planet x model kit, but as soon as i get some decent stills of the Fury Road version, i'm getting to work on one of them.

Do you mean the one in the trailer or the silver one ?
There's enough good photos of the one at that charity event in Namibia to knock one up

I hope they make some of the other cars , I'd buy a Gigahorse or War Rig model for sure

Na, not the silver one, man - Max's Interceptor.
I know the pics you mean, but there's been so much debate over whether or not that is THE actual one from the film or a quick knock up job for the promoting.

Judging by the trailer though at the beginning, looking at the single tank and the torn interior dangling down etc - i'd say that one in those photos IS the one from the movie :D

Gotta get a look at the interior though and that won't happen till 2015 ;)
