Thats a lot of mights in that article. George did say in a recent interview or article that it was getting a future release. Hopefully there are more extras and deleted scenes. I'd love to see the film from different angles with all the footage they got.

Tell ya what, i'm jealous as hell of all the Star Wars shenanigans all over facebook this week.
Alot of posts from excited fans doing their countdowns and photos of first screenings etc.
Reminded me of May 13th this year and the excitement we all had.

The big difference here is that the long wait for Star Wars didn't payed off for me.
I watched it last night on the midnight screening. So disappointed.
It had strong moments, but only a few.
I had the same issues with other films this year like 'Spectre', almost lazy storytelling
and too much relying on nostalgia.
Over 30 years after Return of the Jedi the fans wanted something new and no 1:1 copy of New Hope.

Fury Road had so many throwbacks to the original three films but it had a new world, characters and story. Its most similar to Road Warrior but it does its own thing.

Star Wars was an entertaining film but ultimately bland since it stuck to the SW formula. Its a copy of A new hope and The Phantom menace combined. There was WAY too much explaining the plot. We don't need to now who xxx really is and be reminded 3 times. It seems like JJ was scared to try anything new and relied on nostalgia(as mentioned above) to play it safe. A good film but ultimately predictable and doesn't cover any new ground. Things are exactly the same in the Galaxy as they were in A new Hope.

Maybe Fury Road spoiled us but some originality, cliffhangers and open ended twists would have made it a much better film. Everyones happy but disappointed aswell.

I need your advice.

To be honest, I really don't give a fuck about anything Star Wars related, but JJ Abrams made Star Trek interesting, so there's hope.
Then again I don't think I can sit through the movie with a bunch of nerds waving their plastic toys around when something happens on screen.

If its your first Star Wars then there is a fair chance you'll enjoy this one.
It's not a bad movie, at times really funny too, but the magic from the 70's and 80's is gone.
Maybe it's impossible to recreate that magic for fans who grew up on the original trilogy.

In the showing I was in, the 'nerds' were surprisingly quiet.
Perhaps they were paralyzed, or maybe just shocked, I really can't tell...

Seeing all this Star Wars crap everywhere makes me respect Mad Max that much more. I'd feel embarrassed walking into a store prominently displaying Mad Max coffee creamer, Mad Max lipstick, Mad Max child beds, Mad Max toasters, shoes, mayonnaise, and on and on. I'm sick of Star Wars.

Oh, good old memories...my first action figure was from Star Wars, back in 1978. (from Kenner, not Hasbro )

As for me, I grew to manhood years later in 1982 when I saw the Road Warrior for the first time in a theater.

Thing is though, those bloody Star Wars pricks have been drip fed with movies, animated series, toys and all kinda shit since 1985.
But we've had nothing, that wasn't fan made since then.
They didn't have to wait like us.
