Even more accolades. It should be noted that with very few exceptions, Miller is being named best director by all these critic groups, and the movie itself is either a runner up or finalist on just about every list. I think the pendulum has swung towards Miller getting the Oscar. If the Director's Guild gives it to him, it should be a lock.

The Southeastern Film Critics:

Best Director - George Miller
Best Cinematography - John Seale

Detroit Film Critics:

Best Director - George Miller

Indiana Film Journalists:

Best Director - George Miller
Best Score - Junkie XL

Also, Fury Road led all films with 13 nominations for the Critics Choice Awards.

FWIW, Variety still feels there are 4 directors who are more likely than Miller to win the Oscar.
