ROADWAR 151

Fliers are going around this week, speed shops, bike shops, customizers, etc. etc. The place that is doing the Pre Party (Broadway Brew Haus) is also doing a Radio spot. And we've hit all the media we could reach.

Other than Ankle and the MFP we are completely sponsor free, so I don't have much to spend on regular advertising. I sprang for Fliers and posters, Karol's been way helpful with his web sites and help. Ankle's has been helping to hit up media for me, and has done alot to get Vernon Wells to come.

It has been great to see fellow fans come together to make this happen. If you can think of any place to post the info, or to send an e-mail feel free.

Thanks for the input Moko......

ROADWAR 151

I posted a little blurb in the Texas sub-forum of the Vintage-Mustang club.

There is also a San Antonio Mustang Club, but I was unable to do anything there, you might be able to reach them locally.

Are there any Mustang shops in the area?

Been there done that, Thanks Detritus. I been working with Alamo classic Mustangs for a while with my daughters 66 (ex now, sold it a few weeks ago). They put up some fliers for me and passed it along to SAMC (which they are all members of)

I'm thinking the day of this thing it's going to explode!!!! So many people locally have been told or have been asking about it.... The numbers on Karol's site I think may end up being misleading... For example: I dropped off some fliers at a local custom hot rod shop today. I had never been there before... When they saw the black background of the flier coming out of my breif case, they wigged! "Oh man this is about that mad max thing isn't it!!!!" This is so cool, we'll be there, a bunch of customers too..... that's cool isn't it?" I told him heck yes it's cool. Where did you hear about it...? He said some guys were talking about it at the bar they hang out at.... ????? He was planning on calling ADH for more info... he looked up and saw me coming across his lot....

That's cool. Have you talked with any 'law enforcement' people? They might have an interest in displaying a promotional car (D.A.R.E. vehicle or a racecar if they have one) or something. They would kind of fit with the 'cop' aspect of Max, just not the 'renegade cop' part...

You said the ADH is willing to run stuff between movies, what about 'trailers' for more or less related movies? Deathrace 2000/The Car/Road Games/etc...or if we could dig up some of the MMRW inspired music videos we talked about in the other thread.

On a long shot, the public relations dept. at AMOCO might be able to supply a copy of the old AMOCO 'Road Worrier' theatre promo with the Landmaster in it.

Very good work... Your incredible Ankle!... (Vernon seemed pretty pleased with it too, I might add) Hey did you forward a copy to Karol yet? I'm sure he'd love to have one even if he chooses not to update his site with a copy (But I bet he will.) I'm thinking I'll get one autographed just for prosperity sake

You know Karol you could event have a Flier Gallery of the various "ROADWAR" events as they come to fruition (your original one was way cool too!)[/font]

Pulse,

I think you mean for posterity... Or maybe if you're gonna sell the autographed copy for a huge sum it would be for prosperity.

LOL!

I'm having driveshaft issues with the Falcon. Floorpans are needed in the Mach 1. A new 500cfm Holley 2bbl carb has been purchased and awaits delivery. New dual exhaust is needed on the Mach 1. Front brakes are probably a good idea for the Falcon, but they are Aussie specific and not readily available in the US. Passenger door handle just broke on the Falcon. And just like the song says, rust never sleeps.

And that's the good news...

Just like Dearborn, I will be there in spite of the automotive challenges. It just makes the victory all the sweeter. I don't have to be there with the best car, just be there with MY car.

The AAA man. Pray he's still out there somewhere...

Never claimed to be an english major LOL.... Thanks Mitch (We home school or kids, when we make silly mistakes like that our favorite quote is "I are home schooled"... inside joke but we like it...LOL)

Good luck with your vehicles, I know how you feel I'm running into the same type issues with the KZ. Rebuilt the calipers last night (again!), and broke down the carbs for rebuild tonight...After not running for so long it's amazing how 9 or 10K will break $#it... LOL
