Really ? From what i heard, the best one is the last action set piece lolbiolumen wrote:blackmocco, I have a question. I've read from a few folks that of the big action set pieces, the best one is one that happens relatively early in the film. Does this particular set piece include the storm sequence, or is it another one?

I think he refers to this:roadwarriormfp wrote:What test stunt footage??? where??????MWFV8 wrote:So am I right to make the following assumptions;
1) The truck flip test stunt we saw footage from was a test for this big explosion we see?
The lower shot is from the Comic Con trailer and is actually raw footage of the stunt before a whole bunch of stuff was composited in as you can see (including the LOL moment of Max swinging by on a pole).
So yeah, it is the exact same shot.

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road Theatrical Teaser Trailer #1
There was some phone footage of a mock-up rig with one of those cannon-flip devices attached being tested. In the footage the trailer flips, detaches, and the tractor unit carries on. But apparently it was a failed test. Seems coincidental that the exploding tanker shot shows the tractor flipping.roadwarriormfp wrote:MWFV8 wrote:So am I right to make the following assumptions;

2) The hydraulic War Rig weapon is actually a plow which lowers rather than a scoop which lifts?
3) The Interceptor does get rebuilt and used by the enemy?
4) Explosions and stunts are way kewl?
What test stunt footage??? where??????

Huh, I've never even heard of that footage, do you perhaps have a link to that?

I know the clip he is talking about , but can't remember where it is on the forum ..Taipan wrote:Huh, I've never even heard of that footage, do you perhaps have a link to that?
but that footage was shot in western Sydney when they did the last of the filming at the beginning of this year wasn't it ? ( in the old reservoir )
That means that stunt was performed in Australia if that is the case or it was practise for another late scene we havent seen yet

Yeah it was posted on Instagram and is behind a locked private account but it seemed to show a stunt involving the War Rig based on the mock up of the trailer being pulled.Artemis Flow wrote:I know the clip he is talking about , but can't remember where it is on the forum ..Taipan wrote:Huh, I've never even heard of that footage, do you perhaps have a link to that?

Good points. Must have been for some different stunt with the War Rig.

No it was camera phone video , the mock truck had this big steel roll cage around it , the video was shot from behind a cyclone fence if I recall rightly ,

I'm sorry you missed this and wish I could help you see the vid but I have no idea where it is now. As written above, it was phone footage taken of a mock-rig from behind a fence. In the footage the rig is racing along and attempts one of those cannon-roll maneuvers except the cannon is fixed to the trailer. The trailer rolls and detaches from the tractor which recovers and carries on through a couple of white markers. However I believe the comment posted with the vid suggested the whole rig was supposed to go over.roadwarriormfp wrote:Was it a still or actual video???
