Boys, boys, boys, how short your memories are....I explained this very subject just last year....if you need some hints here you go....the little birdie that told me the info was very "close" to the Wez character......the little birdie was also privy to ideas,story-boards and proposals of MM3 prior to Kennedy's death....and gawd boys,if a whole season of Dallas can be explained away as a dream, what are the limitations for explaining Wez returning in MM3 ??
Plus the little birdie has read both this forum and the Mighty Wez site......and thinks they're both pretty good.
Personally I think Plughead was an under-rated character.....
Yeah!! Dallas in dreamland, and how crap that turned out to be!!!
Wez was a superb character, only vernon wells could have played that part but thank god they didn't attempt to bring him back for MM3 and ruin the character.
The info from the little "birdie" may have been genuine as far as that person was concerned, but to many, they are just rumours. It was Byron Kennedy's influence that made the first two movies work so well, i don't believe for a second that he would have even thought about bringing Wez back to act in a lighthearted post apocalyptic romp along side angry anderson and tina turner with a final chase scene resembling the road runner and coyote.
My other post appears to have astray somewhere in cyberspace....*shrugs*
My info came from the horse's mouth himself,Adrian, it was far more substantial than a mere rumour. The whole storyline of MM3 was changed considerably after Kennedy's death,so MM3 may not have been the lack lustre installment of a great movie trilogy....and Kennedy's story would have encompassed Wez in a believable way.
BTW small info....Vern and Angry Anderson grew up together
Nice one Bugs, makes more sense knowing the full story.
Something to amuse you............I have wanted to meet vernon since i saw the movies in 82, call it my final ambition, we set off on the 5th of march to visit the film locations in OZ, who was at a convention in London on the 6th? yes, you guessed it!!!!
Knowing some truths behind movie making decisions makes it a wee bit tarnished.
BTW...Vern wasn't actually in Rose Tattoo....he was in a rock band with Angry Anderson BEFORE Rose Tattoo was formed. And have a goooooooooooooood look at Vern in Commando.....that's what his son looks like at the moment !!
