News on the Fury Road : "The Wasteland" & "Furiosa"

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm so happy Miller is back behind the camera, and I love the character Furiosa, but I want a Mad Max sequel or prequel.

As far as this Collider podcast that sourced the info about Yahya Abdul-Mateen II making it as the main male role:

The fact that Furiosa is going to be a prequel is really not a secret so that's nothing new. But the insinuation that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is supposed to play in this movie is based literally on nothing and it's placed at the end of the podcast to make sure people listen all the way through. Collider has really bad reputation when it comes to this because it's a sinking ship.

I'm guessing Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play the original Imperator of the War Rig.

George said in an early Fury Road interview that we'd see the Roof Warrior's origins in one of these films too which I'm presuming will be the Furiosa film. As much as people don't like the idea of going back to locations from MM I would love to see the Bullet Farm of Gas Town up close.

I've had some time to think about this, and I'm on board! Miller is my all time favorite director and he knows what he's doing! I can't wait for this AND 3000 YEARS OF LONGING.

At least we will get to witness another epic action sequence, the bit when Furiosa loses a part of her arm. I'm looking forward to this.
