Just for kicks, here's a couple of recent posts from an Aussie automotive board.
Have heard a little, looks like it will proberbly be a bit of a dissapointment! By what little I've seen, some kind of sci-fi freakshow, and from the car angle, the cars look like they belong in the circus with the clowns.I hope I'M WRONG!
l know a bloke that had a job recently to carry a bike to sydney ..apparently for mm4...it was like a sand drag motor bike and had a s4 13b turbo rotary eng

don't wanna act like some little kid high on rumors, but..
shall I say: MMBT logical continuation?
I hope it's not true though, MM cars should resemble cars... because it's a car movie. Not 'let's slap some junk on a chasis and call it post-apocalyptic' flick.

Not 20/25 years after an apocalypse.

I've also been given another lead for where the cars are being mustered, it's in the general vicinity of fairfield, so I might go and check it out in the Bopper

I have seen some activity about that specific building a fair bit lately, might go have a spy of it for a bit, see if there is anything to see.

Just heard the cars were built at Yagoona, opposite the detention center. Dunno if fact or fiction. But source said they modified 3 Mercedes with v8's.

As far as vechile rumours go ....I have been told that they have purchased a bunch of professional off road buggies ( the type they race) and 40 was the number I was told. This comes from someone I know who races. He lives in Broken Hill where a hell of a lot of accomodation is being booked by one organisation. I will keep you posted.

I don't think we are gonna see MMBTD vehicles. If we do it will probably be a few. We have already seen two of the vehicles. We saw the Holden Ute and how rusted it was and with the huge blower. To some idiot they could resemble circus cars. I'm trying to keep positive about this film.

I think I am about ready to accept whatever they manage to put together at face value. It either going to be the most amazing reboot of the franchise and make the lot of us proud, or... uh, possibly not but I don't like going there.

Actually, when you think about it, wouldn't it be funny if after the opening music and serious credits, the main characters ride into view on unicycles flailing women's handbags at a helpless Max who's riding a ten-speed bike that gets stuck in the sand, then it pans over to John Cleese who says "And now for something completely different." That would make me laugh!
