Hey Dale

Thanks for posting your photos ... what a blast to see 'unseen' shots from on set!

Amazing stuff.

Hey Dale, would you mind posting which stunts you did and/or the bits you did as I would like to watch the movie again knowing which bits were you. Its been 30 years you should get some credit for your effort. Thanks for being part of the forum.

Hey Nelson ... thanks to you too. My pleasure to be part of the forum.

After some research (aka refresh the brain on details) I have come up with the stunts and bits I was in. But don't blink or you'll miss some of them. Lol  but true.
At the time the movie came out on VHS tape I wrote a list, which I have kept in the VHS tape box for many years. Even then it was difficult to pick exactly which parts I was riding in as Goose and Starbuck. (Hi Nic :D ). But I believe this is accurate, with the movie timing (minutes and seconds) from the Oz DVD I have:

5m 12s: Driving past Fat Nancy's in the slower car (Scuttle and Sarse car)
5m 29s: Fat Nancy Goose Scoot take off (wheelie and drifty)
5m 42s: Riding Goose Scoot before the crash into the ute
5m 45s: " "
7m 09s: " "
17m 21s: Riding into Clunes
21m 12s: Donut and mono
21m 22s: Dragging the hoon along the street (Howard Eynon/Diabando riding. I was pillion sitting backwards, dragging David Bracks, who I'm pretty sure is brother of former Victorian Premier Steve Bracks)
28m 17s: Riding past camera (my bike)
34m 24s: Beach scene, sitting beside a "Female Hoon Extra"
38m 29s: Cabaret take off ("smokey") on the Goose Scoot
38m 49s: Some riding of the Goose Scoot (part of this ride ... not the sequences with cameraman pillion, who was Terry Gibson and Cameraman David Eggby)
70m 33s: Riding as Starbuck (only after the bikes passed Max's van when Jessie and Sprog were run down)
75m 50s: Stop and take off (as Starbuck)
76m 34s: Kirks Bridge crash (as Starbuck)
81m 12s: Laying dead with the crow (But only the last quick shot with "Max" driving off, as he wasn't actually there that day)

My father (RIP) took these two photo's outside our house at the time in Walter Street Ascot Vale. They were originally "slides", but many years ago I had prints made from them:

Hey Dale,

Can you recall what ever happened to the "Goose" bike?
Theres pictures of it sitting beside the Interceptor (at a local supermarket?) when the car was up for sale minus the blower and side pipe extensions.

Hey Dale,
I know it is said the beach to be one in Seaford, can you confirm this?

PursuitSpecial wrote:So what ever happened to the bike from the movie or the red pants?
My bike was bought by a friend. Asked about it a few years ago, and can't recall if he sold it or it got "wrecked". I will have to enquire again one day.
Those "red pants" were a full one piece set of leathers borrowed from a friend for drag racing, but were suitable to wear for the movie. I reluctantly had to return them, and I recall he wasn't too happy as I had borrowed them for a long time.
Over 30 years ago, but ...
Thanks to Barry Spiller for the idea and loan of the paint job, and thanks to Broderick for the loan of the leathers.

Huge thanks also to Barry for subsequently building a bike which got us a National Drag Racing Record in 1982.

No idea what happened to the Goose Scoot. I'm curious too, so that's another thing I've added to my "to do" list.

Yes. Day 2 and 3 of filming. (Not to be confused with the Avalon beach scene of course):
