Suprised that this topic got this far I get text chopped for almost anything, and I don't need to be calling for violence, I just need to say anything appart for MAD MAX. In fact might as well save my time now as this will get cut.
So this post from the censor amazed me:
"Bart we have had this conversation over and over before.....
So here i go... again.
Without wanting to sound rude.... but you seem to have a problem. Everytime someone criticizes US foreign policy..... you take it to mean that we are bashing Americans... and bashing YOU personally.... Using this logic.... any American citizen who hates Bush is also "un-patriotic"....
Sorry to inform you... but YOUR government is not the population..... "
SO what stays and what goes on this board is in the end just a "Judgement call"
In Apocalypse Now Brando said it so well... "It is JUDGEMENT that defeats us" ..
Right now ...today ... that is true for all the world perhaps... no matter what political path is followed. Planet Earth calling ... S.O.S.
Cheers

Gordon you posts were deleted for two reasons...... Policital talk belongs here... not in the other part of the forum....
Secondly.... it was deleted when you decided to reply in a im-mature fashion after the rules were explained to you...
The simple rule in Thunderdome.. as has JUST been explained.... is NOT TO ENCITE VIOLENCE..... Discuss what you like.....
But there will be no threads allowed in which racist and condoning and supporting the killing and murder of a particular race, religion or whatever the case my be....
It's called HAVING MORALS.....
And as you seem to be unaware of Australia laws.... inciting racial hatred and violence is also against the Laws Of AUSTRALIA....
So again.. if you have no respect for the rules of the forum.... then i suggest posting elsewhere...
The orginator of this post started this thread in the "General" section... when asked to move the thread to Thunderdome... he did so without whinge or whine......

Is it too hard to understand... ???
i explained to you why your post was removed...
"""Gordon you posts were deleted for two reasons...... Policital talk belongs here... not in the other part of the forum....

Which part of this was too hard to comprehend??
The second part of my reply refers to your post above....
""Suprised that this topic got this far I get text chopped for almost anything, and I don't need to be calling for violence, I just need to say anything appart for MAD MAX. In fact might as well save my time now as this will get cut.

Making any sence now???
Your post was removed because IT DID NOT BELONG IN THE GENERAL SECTION....
Since you decided to reply to this thread without gaining what was going on here..... so i explained what isnt allowed here.... It was NOT REFERRING TO YOUR POST....

This is from a U.S Army Soldier who's BEEN there and KNOWS whats going on.Also its not B.S I got this off of Snopes.com.
"I'm Tired"
Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq, I was forced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained prior to my deployment. With luck, I'll return to Iraq in January to finish my tour. I left Baghdad and a war that has every indication that we are winning, to return to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971 after my tour in Vietnam. Maybe it's because I'll turn 60 years old in just four months, but I'm tired:
I'm tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican who lack the courage, fortitude, and character to see these difficult tasks through.
I'm tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite history when the going gets tough.
I'm tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they "Support the Troops" by wanting them to "Cut and Run" before victory is achieved.
I'm tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs and casualty reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety of their hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men and women are having on the battlefield.
I'm tired that so many American's think you can rebuild a dictatorship into a democracy over night.
I'm tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go to the voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanent Parliament.
I'm tired of the so called "Elite Left" that prolongs this war by giving aid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.
I'm tired of anti-war protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallen soldiers. A family who's loved ones gave their life in a just and noble cause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardly protesters is beyond shameful.
I'm tired that my generation, the Baby Boom - Vietnam generation, who have such a weak backbone that they can't stomach seeing the difficult tasks through to victory.
I'm tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captives then they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and allies.
I'm tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by the press, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front page news.
Mostly, I'm tired that the people of this great nation didn't learn from history that there is no substitute for Victory.
Sincerely,
Joe Repya

Its interesting to read that quote from the tired soldier. In return I would like to ask a question.
What exactly is "Victory?". Define "Victory in Iraq" for me. EXACTLY. No fairy buzz words like "freedom" or "Nuk-u-lar".
I work as a project manager and when I deliver a project, I have to meet an exact measurable objective. If I meet the objectives then it is a victory. If I do not meet the measures established then the project has failed.
So I ask again...
What EXACTLY is or was the objective in invading iraq?
What EXACT MEASURABLE CRITERIA must be met for the US to declare "victory?". Black and white. No crap
I thought Bush & Co already declared victory. In fact they have failed. They haved failed the tired soldier who cannot ever win a war with no goals.
The reason that soldier is "SO TIRED" is that there is no possible way of declaring or measuring "Victory". He is in an unwinnible situation. When you invade another country, there are only 2 possible outcomes at any point.
1 - Stay
2 - Leave
Neither of these outcomes is a victory. If you stay, the hearts and minds of the Arab population have already been lost. When youre mere prescence encourages violence against you. When you are an invading foreign country, you have no hope of any measurable victory, you are just fanning the flames. - NO VICTORY
If you leave, you are defeated - NO VICTORY
George Bush says things are getting better. What measurable criteria is he using to measure his results?
George W Bush. I (a skilled project manager) ask you, a supposed compentent president with a PLAN. Define VICTORY.
