And it's not the very first time Miller plays with the mind of the fans.
at this point you are just messing with your own mind,

George Miller wrote the stories, he is actively promoting them in the interview, they are good quality stories with cool art, so if you are saying that GM doesn't know his own story then all I can do is quote Charlie: "YOU'RE BLASPHEMING" :o

seriosly though you are just not seeing the bigger picture-it is there if you are willing to accept it, I am sure given time you will sort it out, but the first step is you must, as Yoda says, "unlearn what you have learned"
Step right up, chum, and watch the kid lay down the rubber road, ride to freedom!

No matter how much work Miller is putting into the comics, Mad Max 1 cannot be set before the apocalypse - it doesn't look and feel as such - and Hardy's Max cannot be 60 years old and Bartertown and Citadel just don't match.
The bigger picture is this: separate continuities. 8-)

he doesn't have to be 60 unless you cling to all the off screen clutter and fan speculation that you have built up over the years, that is why I say Unlearn what you think are facts about the OT, the films say A few years from now NOT in the Year 1997 or any other year.

why does bartertown have to match the citadel? they are different places. I do not understand what you mean when you say MM 1 can not be before the Apocalypse, uhmmmmm.........

MM 1 happens before the apocalypse

Good question. The Wastelanders in Bartertown are not shipwrecks and "maggots" like the ones of the Citadel. The Wasteland in BT looks different in terms of social organization and "new order".

that could just be because they were far away, I mean go to the middle of Africa and then go to Europe or America, they don t match! They are just different places far away from each other that devoloped diferently based on circumstance, opportunity, and a million other factors. After all Australia is not an island, it is a continent and is about 2,967,909 square miles and about 4000 miles across. Maybe the OT takes place near Melbourne and Sydney and the citadel is all the way over by Perth. Max had a car and plenty of time to wander and explore.

I mean really think about it for a minute, bartertown is pretty close to the crack in the earth and they did not even know about each other. Those two societies certainly did not match.

OR if FR is after BTD Bartertown was destroyed and the people wandered off and some of them are actually those dregs at the base of the Citadel? :?:
