Eh, you lost me at the third thru fifth words. I do not believe it will be an 'alternate' anything, just one more tale in chronological order.
He's really pushing an "alernate timeline" thing because it looks like he refuses to believe this is part of the Max mythos, but has nothing credible to back it up other than he just doesnt want it to be. Fact of the matter is: it IS part of the Mad Max mythos and NOT an alternate reality. The only problem is to figure out WHEN it occurs.

Calm down man. You seem pretty much aggressive. I'm fan of FURY ROAD. I don't refuse the movie. What are you talking about? Lol

Hardy is way too young to be the Post-Thunderdome Max. He looks younger.
On the other hand, the world looks too much "sophisticated" - despite being post-apocalyptic - to be set inbetween the first 2 Mad Max movies.

Sure thing pal; even though that's totally not the impression you're giving off.

i dont think that excuse applies.
Uncle Entity wrote:The one single grey streak in Max's hair may indicate that this movie is set inbetween "MM2" and "MM3", but not our version of the movies. Remember, it's an alternate continuity, a parallel dimension. Some of the events in this Max's world played out the same, others went differently. What do you think about?

Fact is, the creature goes far beyond the creator.
I think it is a bigger timespan.

you're pushing an agenda that fury road is not apart of the mad max series, but an alternate one (among other ridiculous claims). you do understand that so far, you are the only person to believe any of this right?

blame that on being italian.

The trouble with these sequel or reboot discussions is that most of it is based on peoples theories and not on fact , in the relevant thread devoted to this subject yet ignored all to often is this reply from Bio

Published facts >>

I feel like the original ‘Mad Max’ created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me.
It’s not the original ‘Mad Max.’ It’s the revamped ‘Mad Max.’

Like with Snow White And The Huntsman, there is so much potential to re-imagine that world. It’s such an interesting world and how much it still resonates today after 20 years or whatever it’s been. We’re going back to that world but this is not a prequel or sequel or anything like that.
“Tom Hardy will be playing Mad Max but this is not the Mad Max that we know from that [film]. Only Tom Hardy can do this Mad Max and my character is a brand new character as well.

I think we’ve been told is it’s not a sequel or a prequel. It’s the world of Mad Max but it’s a re-imagination.

And one from Tom Hardy....
It’s a relaunch and revisit to the world. An entire restructuring. That’s not to say that it’s not picking up or leaving off from the Mad Max you know already, but it’s a nice re-take on the entire world using the same character, depositing him in the same world but bringing him up to date by 30 years.

Of course this is all to much for some die hard fans but it's nothing new to modern film making and even some oldies like Superman , Spiderman , Batman etc and theres a new Dr Who every couple of years and people are cool with that
Tom Hardy is the new Max for 2015 and he still drives the Interceptor , I'm sure his background story will still be the same ( wife n kid killed by marauders in his early life in the MFP ) but thats it , the old trilogy is stand alone disjointed as it is by certain elements in BTD
I can't see the point in trying to determine what year it was when each film was made , the exact dates/ year are not important to the story and are never presented to the audience as such , having a guesstimate is all one can do.
The intro from MM2 uses news archive footage from WW2 and the 60's but this doesn't seem to bother anyone :ugeek:

Huge difference between what is REALLY happening with a production crew and some nobody fanfiction writer in Italy.

Quite frankly, it looks to me like they just like saying "re-imagine" a whole lot. That last phrase from hardy is all over the place, and everything else says something to the effect of "in the same setting" "in the same story" etc with "re-imagine" sprinkled all over it rather than "sequel set 30 years later with a younger actor"

Seems like you are taking this too personal. :)

Blame that on your stupidity.

Theron and Hardy say otherwise.

Act civil or go away from this forum, you're trolling and flaming.

Until the movie is out in theaters I'm sticking with what the cast and crew said countless times before, during, and after filming. It's a remake/reboot.

Getting back to the thread and the interesting images.

From what we've seen of the costumes and vehicles, they do seem to be using this concept art as an influence. Apart from darkening everything up - black vehicles etc - it seems like there's a foundation there.

Does this suggest we will see "mutants"? I dunno but I do think it'll be interesting to explore a different part ofthe wasteland and possibly see some effects of radiation, even if it is just in the form of damage rather than mutation.

I actually like the Immortan Joe in the concept art - though he'd probably be too armoured to look realistic in live action.

Warner Bros is on the rampage. They forced Aint It Cool to pull the photos from the article they posted...

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/66886

And they also forced SuperHeroHype forum to delete the images I had hotlinked there.

http://forums.superherohype.com/showpos ... tcount=119

Now that I look, they deleted all my scoops on that site. May only be a matter of time before they're knocking on Peter's door (though I understand this site kinda flies under their radar).
