I don't know man, in the 2nd trailer it shows that Morsov got shot in the face with a bolt and it's stuck in there. That's pretty R.

Yeah I watched the trailer and you see he's hit with 2 bolts from the Buzzard driver's crossbow. The thing is though that scene was allowed and approved for everyone to see in the trailer soooo...

I agree with blackmocco though, I can't see WB releasing their major summer blockbuster tentpole with an R rating given the rumored budget and while the R rating is pretty lax in the US for all ages to see, thats not the case in other territories and countries which would no doubt have to have an 18 or R equivalent rating.

PG-13 will still allow for a serious amount of violence, and even nudity, as long as it's not over the top gory so I'd have no qualms if it was PG-13 or R honestly.

Plus if you look closely those bolts look CG and there's very little blood, so maybe that's how they make their way around R eventhough the whole idea is pretty far out there.

R rating in the US as no incident on how a movie is rated in foreign countries. It's all separate.

I think the movie might be R, with no way to turn it into PG-13. You can't tone the intensity, it's like trying to get shit to smell like a Cardin perfume. It can't work.

Nothing will look as bad as George Lucas Special Editions fixes.

I mean, the worst, cheapest CGI made buy a 4 years old on an old Windows 3.86 PC will look better than anything in George SEs.

Mad Max will rock.

There's nothing graphic in it at all violence or nudity wise. Intense and exciting, yes, but no way it's an R. It's PG-13. No doubt in my mind based on the screening last summer.
