Considering Miller didn't even remember reusing the same gags from Mad Max 2 in Fury Road, like the shotgun misfiring, you all might be giving him too much credit to include a detail like the claw marks.
For arguments sake were the marks on the Thunderdome jacket?
Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER
OK... he doesn't remember his own audio commentary of the movie he made with Dean Semler...CraveOnline: Some people might not understand how you can make a movie as great as The Road Warrior and then not see it for 32 years.
George Miller: Okay…
Do you just not like revisiting your own work, or had it not come up, or…?
Well, when you cut a film you’re watching it over and over again, and not only that you’re dreaming about it while you’re cutting it, and then you’re while you’re mixing the sound. So I’ve seen it thousands of times, and when you’re done, I always say you have to be spent. You have to be depleted by the time you finish the film. Otherwise you haven’t put all of yourself into it.

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER
Miller has claimed repeatedly in interviews that Fury Road with Mel Gibson starring was delayed due to 9/11, when in fact it was the buildup to the Gulf War in 2003. So I'd take what he says with a grain if salt.

maybe the guys who took care of the props, costumes... had Mad Max 2 in mind when they worked on the movie...DGSimo wrote:you all might be giving him too much credit to include a detail like the claw marks.

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER
The Thunderdome jacket likely came from the ones made for MM2 costumes and was modded with the sewn up Bearlcaw damage left sleeve sewn at shoulder and square patch on elbow more wear and zipper damage. Someone who owns a screen used MM3 outfit lent it to the Fury Road costumer to measure and photograph ten years or so ago for the first attempt at Fury Road and that data was used to make Hardy's jackets pants and boots for Fury Road.
In older interviews Miller said MM2 was about 3 years after MM and Thunderdome was about 15 years after MM2
This new film is a series reboot, although in older press releases/interviews they had mentioned it as a part 4 and it likely would have been with Gibson in early 2000's. Some media still confuses this in their articles.

Yep, the jacket was the one used in MM2 and I think the first one too?DGSimo wrote:For arguments sake were the marks on the Thunderdome jacket?

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER
If it had been part 4 with Gibson, there would have been no interceptor though. Im wondering if at the end of Fury Road we get to see Max reclaim the remade silver interceptor as a set up for the next film. its strange that for such an iconic vehicle, it actually plays a very little role in the whole series in terms of action, you could argue that only the opening chase in MM2 sees it effectively deployed against other vehicles and coming out on top (as opposed to ramming people on bikes or getting flipped over) its actually been seen too little of and Im slightly baffled at George Miller totalling it so early on in Fury Road, especially as it had been absent from MM3!
Im hoping that Fury Road's opening chase can compare favourably with MM2, where we see the BoB actually take a few vehicles out before it gets flipped. I hope it doesn't get taken out as easily as appears from the trailer. I guess this is where I fell in the camp of people that would have liked a movie set btw MM1 & MM2 so we could have got the interceptor action that we actually haven't had as much as we like to remember. But then Miller couldn't have presented this really ott, almost LOTR style world in that setting. Does anyone know yet if the film will open with a MM2 like montage so as to set the scene or is it going to open with that shot of Hardy with his back to camera?

I'm curious about a montage scene at the start...I kind of want one because I want some background to "this" world.scfc68 wrote:If it had been part 4 with Gibson, there would have been no interceptor though. Also, I may be making assumptions but I assume Hardy/Max on the motorbike are from the end of the film? He begins in the interceptor, ends up driving the Furiosa truck and then leaves off into the wasteland on the bike? No other shots of him on the bike so that's my assumption.

Add to it that FR script was essentially the same since 2002 and it might mean that the 2002 Mel FR was a reboot in itself or something like that. I seriously can't wrap my head around this. The only other reason I can find for this car to be in 2002 FR is that Miller just wanted to crash it yet again because apparently that's the Last of the V8s best trick. I can't decide if Miller likes that car or hates it really.seriz wrote: take a look at that :
