When Wez appears in "Weird Science", how many of us were picking things about his look that weren't right?

They weren't allowed to take exactly the same outfit, and the same makeup, so they manage to use something else that still reminds Wez costume...

It's not a flub or blooper, just a little bit of 'makes no sense'...why, if you're laying on the ground with your knee cap blown off, do you keep stretching for the shotgun just out of reach when you have a nice revolver strapped to your shoulder? I know, I know, somebody out there will say, "Well that shotgun would be much better at taking down the guy on the bike". Great point. Except that the shotgun is out of reach and the revolver is right there on your shoulder. A gun in the hand is worth two out of reach.

Your in great agony, you would be unable to aim with any great accuracy.... a shotgun at close range is the only way to hit a moving target and make sure at least a few of those big pellets make the mark. Given the recoil of the pistol (a .45?) he would need time to reaim and fire... valuable seconds.

Sometimes the way we react in extreme situations makes no sense. I can think of plenty of times I've done something under pressure and completely forgotten about a better/easier and often obvious alternative.

Maybe it was a cold calculated decision by Max as RoadWarriorMFP explains, or maybe he just screwed up. The answer, if there is one, is with the creators.

It may be just a plot device to move the story forward, a bit like the way the Warrior Woman in The RoadWarrior climbs across the tanker to help the Mechanic when he sets his legs on fire.

Eh, I still don't buy it. Max is a cool, focused character under pressure. That's why he's a good road man. The training and experience to remain calm that he has had over the years wouldn't evaporate so quick.
And no matter how preferable the shotgun might be, it was out of reach. A gun is better than no gun...just ask anyone who has had one pointed at them. Accuracy is all relative to throwing your opponent off balance.

Just watching MM2 again, the bus that serves as the gate at the compound has the destination route board in the window, the wording is partly covered but it reads Tea Tree Plaza, which is a major shopping centre in Modbury. a suburb in Adelaide near where I used to live, so the bus was sourced in Adelaide.

In reality, MM3 and 4 shouldnt be made as there is no way anyone could have survived the roll over of the PS/BoB/interceptor...

If you look closer at the interior shots of car you'll notice it had a roll cage put in at some point. That's what the bucket behind the driver's seat is hanging from so it is plausable that he would survive the roll over.

Sorry but I cant believe that, he doesnt wear a seat belt. After 30 years of being a paramedic, I have seen people ejected from cars after a single roll. The number of times it rolls, the centrifical force would have spun him out. But it doesnt really matter is a movie, lots of things happen in movies that we wouldnt normally survive in real life...
