I always go the Newell Hwy. last time did Balarat to caloundra in just under 24 hrs in a xa falcon in the pouring rain with no wipers :? ill be towing the monaro with a hire ute this time and hopefully do the run in 24 hrs again. wont be till early next year anyway

The newell is a great way to see Australia. Travel early in the week when there is less mums and dads. There are always plenty of trucks. Did the trip last year in my orange P76. Will be doing it again in my 351W XF panel van in a few weeks. Much better way to Brisbane than the suicidal Pacific Highway.

iv'e done the pacific hwy. no thanks hahaha. the newell at night is better too.
